Went to adjust the glasses frame again in the morning, it was uncomfortable, so I changed the frame in the afternoon. It's made of titanium, so it should be much better. It feels very light now. Accompany me to prepare for the postgraduate entrance examination!
This lens was fitted with a semi-frame glasses frame for the first time, and it needed to be grooved, which took thirty minutes. I took my sister to the first pedestrian street in our hometown to stroll around. When I was young, our family's store was located across the street, next to a department store. My mom often took me here to shop.
It had two floors and four exits, and it was a unique existence in the city at that time. Many people would come here to stroll in the evening. Most of the shops sold clothing. When my mom brought me here, we would spend the whole afternoon. We would enter a store, pick two clothes that we liked, gesture with them, and if we really liked them, we would try them on in the fitting room. Of course, these were all small shops, and the fitting rooms were very narrow. Some children's clothing stores didn't even have fitting rooms, so the children would just sit on the rubber sofa in the middle of the store and change directly. Occasionally, picking the wrong clothes was a common occurrence. However, the joy of choosing clothes, trying them on, and buying them was not restricted by the narrow store space. The enthusiastic shop assistants would help you open your wallet like they were using their hands.
I was also happy because I could buy some snacks on the way, but the most important thing was the elevator in the center of the pedestrian street. At that time, elevators were rare, only a few department stores had them, but those elevators were hidden inside the buildings. However, this elevator could be seen standing on the street, and this uniqueness made me particularly fond of this elevator.
When I went there again today, I entered from one entrance and walked through it in a few minutes. Although I didn't go into the stores to shop, the size of the street now is completely different from what I remembered. Maybe when I was young, I measured it with a child's feet and height, and now the scale is too large, making it appear smaller. That elevator has also stopped, or maybe it's not the same one anymore, after all, it has been more than ten years. Fortunately, most of the stores are still open, although there aren't many people, but there is still some vitality. In a few years, these small shops should still exist. With the advancement of logistics, although it is difficult to run physical stores, there is still some demand and corresponding living space. However, it should be difficult to renovate this street, which is also good. The bricks and tiles still retain the appearance of my childhood.
